Food Joy • Slow Life

Located in the Xiaohuixi Rezone District of Taoyuan City, the project is a three-bedroom apartment with an indoor area of approximately 109.1 square meters. The homeowners are a young couple who operate a Japanese restaurant and share a passion for baking. Designing around their lifestyle habits, the designer completely adjusted the layout proportions within the developer's pre-built walls. The master bedroom wall was extended outward by roughly 80 cm to accommodate a new home office and a dedicated walk-in wardrobe.
Meanwhile, the social area was reconfigured to place the living room and kitchen-dining zone side-by-side, significantly widening the horizontal perspective. The dining table integrates with the kitchen island, pulling Western kitchen equipment into the configuration to serve as the core hub for cooking, connection, and relaxation.
The TV wall is designed as a freestanding white architectural volume that stops short of the ceiling, preserving corner passages to alleviate visual pressure and maintain a fluid, circular layout. Materials such as wood, rattan, travertine, textured paint, and earth tones tie the entire home together, striking an ideal balance between functional modification and soft aesthetics. Upon completion, the homeowners were highly satisfied with the layout breakthrough, which perfectly aligns their home with their professional rhythm and lifestyle imagination.
