Molcraft is an AI-powered teaching tool intended for secondary-school chemistry education. This project is grounded in our team's firsthand observations in county-level secondary schools, which face challenges in high-quality chemistry education: abstract chemical concepts, limited laboratory resources, heavy lesson-preparation burdens on teachers, and the long-standing disparity in educational resources between urban and rural areas. Drawing inspiration from the chemical unit "mole", Molcraft combines AI with 3D simulation technology to build an intelligent teaching platform that spans pre-class, in-class, and post-class instruction. It aims to bridge the urban-rural gap in educational resources and deliver inclusive, personalized smart chemistry education.

Molcraft integrates three stages—pre-class, in-class, and post-class—into a seamless workflow covering the entire teaching cycle. Before class, AI capabilities support rapid generation of chemical equations and structural formulas via text and voice commands, while assisting teachers in efficiently preparing lecture materials and organizing exercises. During class, 3D virtual simulation experiments and visualized microscopic reactions transform invisible molecular structures and reaction processes into observable, interactive learning experiences. After class, the system automatically generates diagnostic learning analytics and tiered practice assignments based on student performance data, helping teachers precisely identify weaknesses at both the class and individual student levels, thereby forming a closed-loop from diagnosis to consolidation.

Unlike single-function teaching products that focus solely on question banks or virtual labs, Molcraft leverages AI capabilities throughout the entire instructional process, reducing repetitive manual tasks so that teachers can devote more attention to instructional guidance. Meanwhile, its 3D virtual simulation experiments enable students to intuitively grasp microscopic chemical principles, allowing high-risk, high-cost experiments to be conducted safely and repeatedly. Easy to use with a low entry barrier, this platform is available on both PCs and tablets, ensuring stable performance even in rural schools. It not only enhances teaching efficiency but also provides more students with equitable, sustainable access to digital chemistry learning experiences.
