The design blends the minimalist essence of wabi-sabi aesthetics with the serene ambiance of spring, creating a therapeutic and inviting living space. It innovates by integrating classic aesthetics with a natural atmosphere, using a combination of walnut tones, contrasting black-and-white hues, curved lines, and cove lighting to break traditional spatial boundaries.
The layout is functionally tailored to diverse needs. The first floor features textured art paint and furniture made from rattan and walnut wood, with a white shearling armchair serving as a cozy focal point. The children's room on the second floor incorporates bold storage cabinets and elements like grids, veneers, and color blocking, adding a playful vibe. The master bedroom boasts a sleek veneer headboard, curved wooden partitions, and a velvet rocking sofa for added leisure. A recessed vanity and cove lighting lend sophistication to the space. The double-height basement, with an atrium, fosters interaction between the upper and lower living areas, offering both social and retreat spaces.
Aesthetic expressions in the space include walnut tones extending from the flooring to custom furniture, creating a warm, timeless atmosphere. Black tall cabinets paired with white wall-mounted units, delicate paper chandeliers, and soft furnishings add contrast, preventing the warmth from feeling dull. Handcrafted pottery and ceramic ornaments infuse the space with rustic simplicity.
The design highlights the synergy between materials and forms. Rattan, shearling, and soft curves complement each other, while cove lighting softens sharp edges, enhancing the overall ambiance. The integration of black-and-white hues, curved elements, and textured art paint balances the space’s visual appeal and functionality.
Sustainably, the use of solid wood materials and handcrafted artifacts ensures durability and aligns with eco-friendly trends. The design addresses the need for a peaceful, relaxed lifestyle, offering a therapeutic environment for modern residents in a fast-paced society.
