Set within the scenic embrace of Songshan Lake, Dongguan, the project is the private residence crafted for an art-loving owner. More than a dwelling, it is conceived as a vessel for the spirit—an immersive retreat where art and everyday life converge.
The living room, dining area, and bar counter unfold in an open layout, forming a vibrant, interactive hub. Light and sightlines flow freely across the space, while graceful curves generate striking visual tension. Vivid, saturated colors emerge from a calm, neutral palette, fusing with organic forms to establish visual anchors—articulating an optimistic and open spatial identity, and shaping an environment that invites relaxation and lively interaction.
Artworks, each with a unique presence, enliven the tranquil atmosphere, weaving narrative and memory into the space. Natural branches and artistic paintings become a part of the space’s very essence. Furniture pieces, with their sculptural forms, orchestrate a symphony of strength and beauty—where rational structures support the gentle rhythm of daily life. Shifts in light—warm or cool, soft or intense—finely tune the spatial mood, breathing vitality into materials. Art sculptures become visual and spiritual focal points, their growing forms infusing vitality and deepening the home’s aesthetic resonance.
In the bedrooms, a palette of Morandi tones distills the vibrancy of nature into poetic serenity. The master suite integrates sleeping area, walk-in closet, private reading area, and independent bathroom—fulfilling contemporary desires for elevated and private living imbued with a sense of ritual. Transparent materials extend sightlines beyond boundaries, establishing a pure, uncluttered spatial character.
