The site is a new apartment, and this project is named “Wu Yue,” inspired by the space’s calm ambiance and wooden tonal qualities. The designer extracted the deep hues and natural grain of solid wood, which gracefully enveloped the four corners of the space to create a serene and pure atmosphere, laying a solid foundation for the understated contours. Then, in areas such as the living room wall, the dining area, and the entrance, elements that break away from conventional wood patterns were boldly introduced—utilizing striking brick-red hues and marble textures—to add a touch of softness and light luxury to the serene look.
Regarding highlights and material application, the project features the home’s only red wall in the entrance area, serving as a welcoming highlight. When the black glass door is opened, the once-mysterious space suddenly bursts into brightness. The walls on either side and the hidden door are finished with a sophisticated gray-white artistic paint, blended with stylish marble textures. This interplay of diverse materials complements the resident’s steady yet refined qualities. As day shifts into night and back again, the layering of shadows consistently evokes a clean and refined gray-white aesthetic.
