Zheng Ding Xinmao Mansion

Zhengding Xinmao Mansion is located in Shijiazhuang, Hebei, aiming to inherit the ancient city's character while creating a livable mansion for residents. The design team employs an adaptive approach that integrates the distinctive features of Zhengding's ancient city into the project, enabling it to become an integral part of the historical urban fabric. This initiative injects fresh vitality into preserving and promoting the ancient city's cultural legacy.
The architectural style draws inspiration from the ancient charm of China's Tang and Song dynasties. The design team reinterpreted the majestic bracket systems and columns through modern design methodologies, with exquisite craftsmanship enhancing the project's perceived value and distinctive character. Traditional elements unique to classical architecture are incorporated as decorative features, complemented by a warm wood-toned color palette. This approach not only provides residents with an authentic Chinese classical living experience but also aligns with spatial functional requirements, catering to contemporary lifestyles.
For spatial planning and layout, the design team adopted China's traditional urban configuration as the foundation, implementing a central axis symmetrical pattern. Combined with the "five courtyards" homecoming layout, this design enables residents to experience a gradual transition from "urban environment-community-neighborhood space-private residence", artfully distinguishing public and private domains. The project is dedicated to creating a humanistic community imbued with the cultural essence of the ancient city for its residents.
