The interior design for this villa, taking the mid-century modern style as the core, marries natural tradition with modern industrial elements, aiming to provide a comfortable modern living environment rich in historical charm.
This project, in terms of its colors, materials, and soft furnishings, follows the mid-century modern style, which strikes a perfect balance between an ancient medieval aesthetic and modern functional practicality, paying homage to the golden age in the past while showcasing the pursuit of a high-quality modern lifestyle. The overall space utilizes a calm yet bold color scheme featuring ingenious contrasts: neutral and natural colors like sand color, off-white color, etc. are primarily adopted to create a serene, relaxing atmosphere, while vibrant accent colors including orange red, lemon yellow, etc. add a lively sense. Meanwhile, natural materials such as wood and leather lead to a retro visual effect, whose combination with metal, plastic, fiberglass and other modern industrial elements achieves the collision and fusion of old and new. As for soft furnishings, the project subtly employs antique-style bricks and vases, mural paintings, etc. to infuse the space with classical charm.
The spatial layout of this project realizes a symbiosis of practicality and aesthetic appeal. Different from classicism that strictly adheres to specific proportional rules, the staircase in the living room uses classic mid-century modern design techniques like Scarpa stacking and volume interlocking, which makes the overall space more balanced and open while ensuring smoother transitions between different areas. The clearly divided functional areas, such as reception areas, social areas, and private areas, can be customized as needed to create a personalized living space for occupants. Additionally, the project boasts a rooftop terrace, allowing occupants to enjoy close contact with natural sunlight.
