Continuous Field 1-10

Continuous Field 1–10 is a series of three‑dimensional relief art pieces conceived for the modern home, composed of ten independent works. Each piece starts with a flat gold‑toned base panel, onto which numerous leather units of identical size are meticulously layered by hand. Through delicate color gradients and staggered arrangements, these units create airy, richly textured layers that seem to breathe. The artist’s subtle composition transforms the leather modules into shapes reminiscent of waves, clouds, or mountain ranges: azure “billows” surge from one corner of the picture, extending naturally into space, and forming a vivid contrast with silvery “foam” and the golden background, imbuing the static installation with a sense of flowing movement and visual tension.
The core allure of the work lies in its intense tactile quality. The stacked leather elements generate a play of light and shadow; under illumination, the lamellae reflect light at different angles, producing a luster of distinct gradations, as if inviting one to touch their soft yet resilient texture.
As an expression of abstract art, the series does not depict concrete objects. Instead, through its repetitive and expansive modular structure, it breaks the perceptual boundary between two and three dimensions, exploring the profound relationship between material, space, and human visual experience. It allows the viewer to sense the flow of time and energy within a coherent field.
Ten works, like a continuous visual narrative, from Field 1 to Field 10, subtle shifts in color and form construct a rhythmic visual field, revealing both the warmth of handcraft and the rational beauty of contemporary art.
