This project adopts a minimalist modern aesthetic as its foundational design principle, reinterpreted through the interplay of volumetric composition and materiality. It draws inspiration from local cultural heritage and integrates distinctive urban characteristics, prioritizing refined living standards and an elevated residential experience.
The design distills the essence of Huizhou’s intangible cultural heritage—specifically its traditional woodcarving craftsmanship—by simplifying intricate lines while preserving core aesthetic values. Geometric reinterpretations of these woodcarving motifs enhance contemporary appeal and introduce rhythmic textural dynamics to the spatial narrative.
Further referencing the millennia-old legacy of Huizhou lacquerware, the scheme incorporates Xipi lacquer elements with desaturated tones, enabling their seamless application across expansive surfaces. This approach translates the lacquer’s inherent depth and chromatic richness into diverse material expressions.
Rooted in Hefei’s broader urban context and natural endowments, the design synthesizes local cultural identity with modern sensibilities. Through an elegant design language, it articulates the unique spiritual ethos of the Wanjiang region, blending understated luxury with sophistication to define residential quality and attitude. The result is a multifunctional environment that cultivates diverse lifestyle and social scenarios, redefining contemporary living paradigms.
