Himalaya H8848 Polaris Comm Mountain Hardshell Jacket

This hardshell jacket integrates professional protection with smart high-altitude communication, delivering comprehensive safety for high-altitude climbing. It innovatively utilizes 70D N66 pk-tex® fabric. The outer layer, made from robust nylon 66, can withstand 335,000 cycles of heavy abrasion, effortlessly tackling scrapes from ice, rock, climbing gear, and backpacks during climbing. The middle layer employs a dual-component membrane: ePTFE, with its unique microporous structure, blocks external rain and snow while removing internal moisture; PU further enhances moisture permeability through an “adsorption-diffusion” mechanism. The result is a perfect balance between excellent water resistance (27,000 mmH2O) and outstanding breathability (8,090 g/m2·24h), minimizing the risk of clamminess and hypothermia.
A smart communication module in the collar pocket enables 5,000 km of wide-area communication (in areas with cellular coverage) and 1 km instant communication (in cellular dead zones) to ensure constant team communication during climbing. It also supports GPS positioning to transmit exact coordinates in real-time for team coordination, remote support, and rapid emergency response, with one-tap “sync-and-group” functionality quickly creating a shared communication channel for the entire team. Additionally, a RECCO® rescue reflector in the sleeve and a rescue information patch on the lining provide dual assurance for emergency rescue.
The hardshell jacket incorporates multiple humanized details. An ergonomic fit tailored for Asians, combined with a one-piece underarm gusset, offers 180° of unrestricted arm movement for improved athletic performance. YKK® water-resistant 2-way zippers and NIFCO adjustable cord locks allow users to freely fine-tune the jacket’s front opening and hem tightness, enabling flexible switching between a snug protective mode and a ventilated cooling mode. The entire garment features COATS® thread and fully taped seams for lasting durability and enhanced protection.
