This residential interior project explores the coexistence of retro elegance and contemporary living through a refined spatial narrative. Designed for urban dwellers who value both quality of life and artistic expression, the space responds to modern residential needs while evoking a sense of timelessness and emotional resonance.
Inspired by the idea of “Space as Art, Life as Classic,” the design rejects literal imitation of historical styles and rigid modern minimalism. Instead, it establishes a dialogue across time, reinterpreting retro elements through contemporary aesthetics. French-inspired silhouettes, delicate plaster moldings, and handcrafted parquet flooring are balanced with modern materials such as metal, matte finishes, and integrated lighting, creating a composed yet expressive atmosphere.
The spatial layout emphasizes both functionality and relaxation. Each area maintains its own character while contributing to a unified whole: the study becomes a quiet retreat for reading and writing, the western kitchen functions as a casual and social preparation space, and the bathroom transforms into a refined leisure environment. Daily activities and artistic experiences are seamlessly interwoven.
In addressing the challenge of scale, soft neutral tones and warm wood textures establish a calm foundation, while layered lighting reduces visual heaviness and enhances spatial depth. A consistent design language—curved forms, refined detailing, and material contrast—ensures cohesion across different zones. Special attention is given to the daughter’s room, where natural textures, botanical patterns, and restrained accents create a balance between childlike charm and sophisticated elegance.
Sustainability is integrated throughout the design. Natural and durable materials are prioritized, energy-efficient lighting systems reduce consumption, and embedded storage solutions improve spatial efficiency and longevity.
