This project skillfully adapts to the height difference of the site, which is higher in the north and lower in the south, and constructs a spatial structure centered on the central landscape. Supporting functions are organically integrated with the main entrance, and a highly prominent street-facing interface is created based on the terrain. The original roof water tank room has been integrated into the design, echoing the concept of "viewing mountains" and achieving a deep integration of architecture and landscape.
The project is blessed with unique mountain view resources to the west. Drawing inspiration from the Song Dynasty painting Four Seasons Landscape, it puts forward the design concept of "wandering through shallow mountains, lingering in a leisurely painted realm". Through five homecoming sequences and cascading terraced gardens, it creates a livable humanistic community that integrates Oriental artistic conception with modern aesthetics.
The first realm is the prominent facade. Guanshan Pavilion (Mountain-Viewing Pavilion), the starting point of the homecoming sequence, features three floating volumes supported by a horizontal platform. Stretching along the street and twisting westward to face the mountains, it skillfully connects the boundary between city and nature, creating a striking visual impact and serving as a unique window for the community to engage with the city.
The second realm is spatial transition. The entrance to the community lobby is secluded and inviting. Following the sound of water around, one encounters cascading waterfalls; in the private courtyard, dappled shadows of pine trees dance. Guided by both sight and sound, a serene and comfortable atmosphere is created, transitioning from urban bustle to community tranquility.
The third realm is the space under the eaves. Stepping beneath the lobby's eaves, one feels as if venturing deep "into the mountains". Looking upward, eave corners and tree canopies interlace, offering an immersive experience of "being amidst the mountains" and enhancing the space's sense of layering and depth.
