2025 New Year Gift Box Design for ZHANGYUAN Studio

At the end of 2024, the design team was commissioned by ZHANGYUAN Studio to create the concept, visual identity, and packaging design for its 2025 New Year gift box.

The design beautifully features a bird as its core visual symbol, embodying the essence of ZHANGYUAN Studio. Inside, the box holds a 2025 calendar along with a thoughtfully curated selection of branded products. The structure adopts a square telescopic lid-and-base format, transforming from a 16 cm cube into the majestic silhouette of a soaring bird with a wingspan of half a meter.

Inspired by the geometric elements of the bird icon, the design team crafted a unique set of Arabic numerals for displaying the year and months. The calendar hangs from a dedicated hook at the center of the box, allowing for easy replacement and display.

Color serves as a powerful defining element: inspired by the azure sky, the bird's two sides exhibit contrasting expressions of clarity—Drifting Clouds on one side and Crystal Blue on the other—enabling users to customize it to match their personal preferences.

More than a festive object, the gift box carries profound symbolic meaning. Just as ZHANGYUAN illuminates his audience, the bird represents hope and courage, encouraging recipients to embrace clarity and strength in the face of uncertainty and challenges.
