'Access for All' is a virtual reality platform that enables architects to test their designs and learn about ADA accessibility standards.

Using a virtual environment paired with a physical wheelchair simulator, architects can navigate their own designs and test key elements—doorways, hallways, restrooms, and more—against real-world mobility needs.

Access for All allows architects to import low-fidelity 3D models (e.g., from SketchUp), set ADA checkpoints, and explore them in VR. As they approach each checkpoint—entrances, corridors, restrooms, elevators—a checklist with illustrations pops up, explaining the relevant ADA requirements. This interactive format makes learning more engaging and memorable than reading static documents.

The platform helps identify accessibility issues before construction, improving both compliance and inclusivity. By fostering empathy, it encourages architects to design with all users in mind. With planned features like voice guidance and expanded scenarios, Access for All aims to make accessibility testing a standard step in every design process.
