The design of Qingyun Academy takes The Book of Songs as its spiritual origin, deeply rooted in the fertile soil of three millennia of ritual and musical civilization in the Central Plains. Drawing on landscape imagery and life wisdom from traditional culture, it emulates the principles of natural landscapes, borrowing forms such as hanging streams, rain-fed pools, and flowing creeks to pursue an aesthetic of "naturally formed scenery." The result is a garden landscape that blends oriental poetic water charm with an overall mountain-and-water vibe, presenting an exquisitely crafted landscape painting. Its innovative highlights include the entrance "landscape bonsai," which breaks from tradition by integrating Eastern landscape poetry with bonsai craftsmanship, embracing both Eastern and Western aesthetics to create a 120-meter-long super ink-wash landscape scroll. The "Pine, Stone, and Clear Spring" in the square is crafted from premium native black granite from Shanxi using a unique vertical splicing technique; the application of rare old stone skins from deep mountains, meticulously laid by seasoned stonemasons invited from Shanxi, adds exceptional detail. In designing the garden creek, careful observation of natural phenomena and repeated testing of gravel specifications culminate in a "sparkling water" effect, showcasing meticulous design ingenuity and exquisite craftsmanship. In terms of sustainability, the project adheres to the concept of borrowing scenery from nature to create the garden, emphasizing the rational selection and cherishing of natural materials such as native black granite from Shanxi and Chinese black natural stone. Through the inheritance of traditional craftsmanship and meticulous construction, the landscape not only aligns with natural textures but also preserves the mountain-and-water ambiance over time, reflecting respect for and continuity of natural and cultural resources.
