Run For Green: Leading the Way in Sports-Driven Sustainability

Fubon Financial has been a trailblazer among Taiwanese enterprises in integrating sports with sustainability through its Run For Green initiative. Launched in 2021, the program partners with four major marathons and designated races across Taiwan. For every 40 kilometers cumulatively run, Fubon Financial plants a tree on behalf of the participant.

In 2024, Fubon expanded the initiative with the launch of Fubon Run For Green™ – Online Run, inviting the public to log their daily running distances to earn trees and contribute to environmental restoration.

Over the past four years, the initiative has engaged more than 300,000 participants and resulted in the planting of over 100,000 trees—surpassing its original five-year goal ahead of schedule. Tree species and planting locations are carefully selected to support the initiative’s core mission: restoring native ecosystems, advancing coastal reforestation, and protecting Taiwan’s green borders and coastal biodiversity.

In 2025, Fubon introduced Green Hour, a new low-carbon lifestyle campaign that encourages individuals to spend one hour each day engaging in mindful, low-carbon activities—giving both the body and the planet space to breathe. By addressing the environmental toll of high-carbon habits, the initiative offers hands-on experiences and relaxation guides that inspire sustainable practices in everyday life.

Fubon Financial continues to demonstrate a deep commitment to social and environmental responsibility, fostering a virtuous cycle of positive impact. Looking ahead, the company aims to further amplify its influence under the brand spirit of “Positive Energy, Creating Possibilities,” uniting cross-sector resources to build a more sustainable future for all.
