The project is a reimagination of FITT’s future headquarters in Sandrigo, Italy. Spanning 12,500 square meters, the design reflects FITT’s dedication, as an international leader in advanced fluid transfer systems, to fostering creativity and advancing industrial production. Inspired by the concept of “intertwining,” the architecture embodies the dynamic, non-linear nature of innovation driven by collaboration and interaction. The building’s form consists of two intertwined strands, each serving distinct yet complementary functions. One strand houses workspaces and research facilities, promoting focused innovation and technical development. The other provides areas for relaxation, social engagement, and visitor interaction, supporting a holistic and human-centered work environment. Together, these strands create a vibrant spatial experience, integrating key features such as a multipurpose arena, a central courtyard, and accessible roof gardens. The courtyard fosters a temperate microclimate, while the roof gardens enhance energy efficiency and underscore the project’s commitment to sustainability. These elements not only improve environmental performance but also enrich the daily experience of those who use the building. The program includes offices, laboratories, a library, and the arena, as well as spaces for wellness and recreation, such as lounges, a fitness center, and relaxation zones, to ensure a balanced and inspiring environment for employees. Public-facing amenities, including a café, restaurant, and gallery, further promote community engagement and openness, echoing FITT’s mission to intertwine creativity and collaboration. The future headquarters stands as a testament to FITT’s vision of a workplace that integrates creativity, functionality, and community. It is a physical representation of this ethos, serving as both an incubator for innovation and a vibrant showcase of the company’s forward-thinking culture.
