The homeowners are a DINK couple, accompanied by their two furkids. Drawing from experience in compact living design, the designer set out to create a home that is flexible, playful, and full of character. Emphasizing the clients’ fondness for cleverly designed hardware and adaptable functional layouts, the space incorporates colorful yet harmonious design surprises throughout. The result is a compact home that can be adjusted to suit different moods, seamlessly balancing storage, interaction, and versatility to accommodate both everyday living and entertaining needs.
The standout feature is a movable TV wall. Designed with a single-track sliding system, it allows the living room and study to seamlessly transition between one expansive area or two zones, offering both flexibility and practicality. To address the challenge of wall weight, the design carefully balanced force distribution and hardware strength, ensuring that even female users can operate it smoothly and safely.
The home is filled with cleverly integrated functions. The secondary bedroom includes a side-lifting bed and desk, making it suitable for reading or as a temporary guest room. In the master bedroom, a triple-sliding wardrobe system makes full use of the space behind structural columns, offering ample storage for large luggage. With hidden features and multifunctional solutions throughout, the space is both richly equipped and visually tidy, perfectly reflecting the homeowners’ vision of “big playfulness in a small home.” The overall aesthetic blends Scandinavian minimalism with vibrant color accents, resulting in a clean yet dynamic visual atmosphere, lively yet orderly.
