This is a residential planning project for which the client requested a story-telling interior, so the designer incorporated the fable "The Honest Woodcutter" as the theme for the interior design. Taking into account the presence of both elders and young children in the family, the furniture and walls feature curved edges, and barrier-free space planning is adopted to enhance the convenience and safety of the living environment. This allows the homeowners, who are busy with their work, to entrust their elders and young children to their home without any worries. The designers have taken a human-centered approach to create a comfortable and safe home. The team has designed the common area with an open layout to allow residents to adjust the space to their liking. It not only makes the area more spacious and convenient but also accommodates the different habits and needs of the residents. The designer incorporated the story of "The Honest Woodcutter" into the space so that the residents can always connect with the story's meaning and feel the importance and emotional connection among family members. From the foyer to the living room, kitchen, and dining area, simple building materials and earthy colors were used, along with a spacious and bright design, to create a natural ambiance reminiscent of a fairy tale. Additionally, elements such as the goddesses from the story and the gold, silver, and wooden axes were used as decorative features, resulting in a new and captivating residence. The entire area has been configured in an open and modern minimalist way to create a bright and spacious living space, allowing residents to rest. To address storage needs, numerous cabinets and shelves have been installed, along with practical and space-saving hidden floor cabinets and three-dimensional storage design. By combining storage functionality with aesthetic appeal, a negative space design is created that emphasizes simplicity. This approach reduces the stress associated with complex cabinets and shapes, offering residents a more comfortable and relaxing home environment that prioritizes their well-being.
