Huahong Duhui Center

The existing space is a well-finished flat, where the homeowner prefers to avoid significant alterations to the core structure, yet desires a sense of individuality. To meet these needs, the design team embraced the bold and eclectic Memphis style, using a black-and-white base as the foundation, and infusing bright colors and geometric patterns to create visual interest. The design seamlessly blends decorative art with functional elements, while introducing various forms of playful and exaggerated aesthetics to inject a distinct personality into the space.

In the living room, an arc-shaped layout replaces traditional linear forms, introducing diversity and individuality to the space. This unique design serves as a canvas for bold color choices and a mix of stylistic furniture, enhanced by a splash-ink rug that inspires a cross-temporal dialogue within the room. The open study breaks away from conventional layouts, featuring multifunctional desks arranged in irregular geometric configurations that also serve as sculptural pieces of art. The bedrooms showcase customized color palettes that reflect the distinct personalities and preferences of each family member. This approach celebrates diversity, creating a space that transcends traditional aesthetic norms and embraces a more free-spirited, multifaceted approach to home design.
