This project is located in Liyang, China, nestled against the Nanshan Bamboo Sea, an area rich in cultural heritage. The designer's core concept of "musicality" integrates the traditional Eastern cosmology of "round sky and square earth" into the design language, creating two main architectural areas: the Square Courtyard and the Circular Courtyard. By drawing inspiration from the form, rhythm, and vitality of bamboo, the design fosters an ambiance that resonates with the sounds of nature, humanity, and the soul, offering guests a Zen-inspired travel experience.
The Circular Courtyard employs the architectural design language of a "bamboo tube," blending seamlessly with the surrounding natural environment to create an aesthetic of organic growth. The Square Courtyard resembles a mountain echo wall, imbuing the space with a sense of natural rhythm and flow. The hotel's facade, inspired by bamboo, emphasizes vertical lines, enhancing the dynamic and rhythmic beauty of the space.
The designer fully utilizes the natural resources of the Nanshan Bamboo Sea, incorporating winding paths, green roofs, and terraces, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in nature and appreciate different philosophical and Zen-like reflections. The atrium, filled with lush greenery and natural light, brings vitality to the interior space. Elements of music are integrated into the lobby, restaurant, tea bar, and banquet hall, enabling guests to experience a blend of exuberant and subtle modern musical expressions while enjoying their leisure time.
The project also offers a diverse range of vacation experiences, providing guests with a comprehensive sensory enjoyment. The serene and Zen-like settings cater to the spiritual needs of contemporary high-net-worth individuals, extending their emotional value and perception of Eastern culture. Beyond just a place to stay, the project guides guests through a spiritual journey of self-cultivation within the essence of Zen.
