Xi

The site is an old apartment. The name, "Xi", implies that the main character is light. The designer fully considered the importance of light and utilized the concept of "subtraction" to create a minimalistic and textured residence. The glass handrail of the staircase is lightweight to facilitate natural lighting and create a rich light and shadow effect. The removal of partitions makes the space semi-open. The openings allow light to flow along the walls and edges of the walls to illuminate the upper floor and convey the image of dawn.
The home not only fulfills the romance of the world of two but also welcomes the arrival of a new baby. The owner named the child "Xi" to symbolize the sunshine that comes with the home. When the meaning of the existence of a home breaks down into functionality, it becomes alive. Write the day with light, and write down every moment with the family.
